Log Files

Thodoris Zacharakis follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.  

Cookies

A cookie policy notification shows up the first time you enter the site. If the user accepts the terms then a cookie is stored in the user’s browser. It contains no personal info, just the acceptance and it is stored for 60 days, unless the user clears his cookies. We also have a popup notification that the admin sets up through the CMS to promote a special offer or an event. If the user closes this notification popup, a cookie is stored in his browser so that this popup does not sho up again. It contains no personal info and it is stored for 30 days, unless the user clears his cookies.  

Forms

We have forms on the site: contact form. We do not store any data regarding the forms on the site. The info that is filled in the form by the user is just send to the admin’s email. We do store an encrypted log on our database that contains the date, action (eg submit form) and an encrypted email that cannot be read. These logs can only be accessed directly from the database and not the CMS. It is just a GDPR security measure.  

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.  

Analytics

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service. Our hosting company is in the European Union and it is GDPR compliant. Any information is sent over SSL / HTTPS to ensure security.  

How we protect your data

Our server has malware protection mechanisms, internal reporting systems and an email notification system if any suspicious activity is detected. Moreover, we are entirely using SSL/HTTPS throughout all our sites. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so personal identifiable information is never captured by third parties without authorization. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.
